I've been looking for other places where the U.S. has less influence, Hugo Chavez's "Venezuela" seems to be moving in a sane direction. Not speaking Spanish well, I was a little apprehensive in taking a discovery trip. To my relief, "Best Beach Escapes" and their staff treated me like family.
